Bryan Fuller

Owner/Founder, Instructor

Bryan was a group fitness instructor in the Army for five years, before taking up crew in 2011 through a Veteran Outreach program at Community Rowing, Inc. In 2012, he rowed across the Atlantic Ocean as part of team Titan, an eight person row boat, finishing in 34 days, 15 hours, and 39 minutes becoming the fastest Americans to ever row across an ocean.

Rowing is a mindset as much as it is a sport. There are few physical activities you can do throughout your life, rowing is one of them. It might just take you places you never expected.

Claire Looney

Claire grew up sailing, crewing in team races and summer regattas across Eastern Connecticut and New York, eventually teaching the next generation of sailors along the Connecticut River as a US Sailing Level 1 and 2 certified instructor before settling down in the Boston area.

Claire came to Power Rowing as the guest of a member and fell in love with the amazing community Bryan had built. You can find her behind the front desk, occasionally in your inbox, as well as behind the scenes of MindBody and our social media channels.

Anna Schab

Instructor

Anna is a former collegiate athlete at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Go Goats!) and was looking for a new way to maintain physical and mental fitness post-college. Three years, and countless meters later, Anna hasn't looked back and has found her dynamite combination: rowing and instructing whole body fitness within her community.

I strongly believe that every person deserves the opportunity to be a part of a community that encourages them to work their bodies, minds, and hearts in tandem - judgement free. Welcome to Power Rowing - we are that community.

Erin Sunderland

Instructor

Erin began rowing as a "walk on" novice at Northeastern University and was immediately hooked.  Which is strange considering the 4:45 AM wake up calls! Her classes aim to push people to get faster, stronger while also having a damn good time!

Rowing provides as much of a mental challenge as a physical one and that improvement is constantly possible whether through refining technique or just getting stronger.

Joanna Banegas

Instructor

Hola! My name is Joanna Banegas, a Certified Group Fitness Instructor through the American Council of Exercise. Since I’ve always been passionate about fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, during the pandemic I hosted my first group fitness class, a fundraiser for Honduras which was devastated by two back-to-back hurricanes last November. As an American Honduran I wanted to contribute to my community in some capacity. After my first fundraiser group fitness class, I developed a
fitness community, Catracha Fitness, which means “Honduran” fitness. My goal with Catracha Fitness is to lead fun and effective fitness classes centered on my Latin roots. Eventually, I would like to teach bilingual fitness classes in communities that are considered fitness deserts. I am excited to have fun with Power Rowers on the weekend – I look forward to meeting everyone!

Maddie Cann

Instructor

Maddie has been a competitive rower for over 10 years. After starting her rowing career in high school, she rowed D1 at University of Delaware and graduated in 2019. Since then, she has expanded her work out background to include strength, running, yoga, and HIIT.

I've seen rowing change lives in truly radical ways. I love the vision Bryan has for this studio, and I hope to play a role in people’s lives as they pursue their fitness goals.

Marta Trippe

Instructor

Marta has six years of competitive rowing experience, including her high school crew and intensive training camps at the Naval Academy and the University of Michigan. After spending four years with her high school varsity rowing team in Florida, Marta joined her college swim team as a distance swimmer in 2009. She is a NASM certified personal trainer and focuses on corrective exercises and injury prevention.

Rowing is not only about competition, but rather connection. Rowing is a camaraderie that creates a true sense of community and has been immensely healing for me.

Megan Sutherland

Instructor

Megan first discovered rowing when she joined the novice team at West Virginia University. A lifelong athlete, she believes that fitness should be fun and builds her workouts around that principle. When she’s not in the studio, you can find her on the volleyball court or hiking with friends.

When I first moved to Boston, the studio helped me meet people who are as excited about fitness as I am. I love having a place to share rowing with my friends and family!

Nimbus

Mascot

Nimbus' fitness career began in competitive high jump, but he has since branched out. A firm believer in finding your strength through fun, Nimbus holds the region's only HIIT Hopscotch certification. Nimbus believes rowing is one of the best cross training activities out there, and when his ears don't get caught in the slide, he has a remarkably powerful drive.

Rowing an ocean happens one stroke at a time. Arms, bunny, legs. Hop on!
