COVID-19 Policies and Procedures
• Virtual classes will be held on Zoom.
• Please sign up at least 35 min before class. If you sign up any later, you will not receive the login details.
• If you sign up through our website or through MindBody, you will receive an email 30 min before class with meeting information from claire.d.looney@gmail.com. If you signed up through ClassPass, you'll receive the login details 20 min before class.
• If you do not feel comfortable turning on your camera, you do not need to.
• If you have any injuries or require modifications for certain movements, your instructor will be CC’d on your email from Claire. Please reach out to them in advance of class so they are aware of your particular needs.
• Please bring your own equipment: mat, towel, weights, full water bottle.
• Masks must be worn while gathering, setting up your station, and any time you are outside of your designated mat space.
• A mask must be worn upon entering the studio.
• The Owner/Front Desk staff will take your temperature with a digital scanning reader.
• If you have an elevated temperature, we will ask that you leave and will refund you your class credit.
• Please keep your mask on until you are settled into your station - grab all materials you will need for class and go to your workout area.
• Sanitize your mat, ball, weights, erg seat, screen buttons (do not touch the screen), foot straps, and handles.
• Once the workout begins, you may remove your mask.
• When the workout is complete, put your mask back on.
• Sanitize everything your hands/feet/body touched during class.
• Please refrain from using the lockers - bring everything you need with you (water, keys, phone, wallet, purse, can be put in the back of your station).
• Please put your mask on when using the restroom.
• Leave the light/fan on and close the door behind you immediately after leaving the restroom.

Our Policies
• Single Class Passes expire 1 month from date of purchase.
• 5-Class and 10-Class Packs expire 1 year from date of purchase.
• All class pack purchases are final. No refunds, no exceptions.
• All Power Rowing Memberships (including discounted memberships such as Summer Specials and New Year's Specials) automatically renew monthly on the date of sale, unless cancelled.
• You may cancel for any reason, at any time, you just need to let us know. You may also suspend your membership if you are away for two weeks or more.
• All membership purchases are final. No refunds, no exceptions.
• We recommend arriving at least 5-10 minutes early for those new to the indoor rowing machine.
• Instructors will be on hand fifteen minutes prior to class for some one-on-one.
• Rowers should be on their machine no later than class start time. We teach proper rowing technique for in the first 5 minutes, and it’s critical that first-time students receive this instruction before taking class.
• Class reservations may be cancelled without penalty up to 24 hours before the scheduled class.
• Each class not cancelled within the 24 hour deadline will result in a loss of one class from the purchased series or a $25 cancellation fee.
• Monthly members may cancel up to 12 hours before the scheduled start of class, but will be assessed at $25 late cancellation fee for cancellations made with less than 12 hours notice.
• If a class is fully booked, you can opt to be placed on the waitlist, and we will notify you via email if a spot opens up.
• If you don’t get a notification in advance, but if you’re close by, we encourage you to drop into the studio. Often we don’t know if there are any last-minute cancellations or no-shows until the class begins.
• If you are running late, give us a call at 617-901-4811 and we will hold your spot for up to five minute of class start.
• If we don't hear from you by the time class starts, we will fill the seat with someone from the wait list. No one will be admitted after the first five minutes of class. See Cancellation Policy.
• The minimum age requirement is 10 years old, with parental consent.
• Clients 10-15 years old must have a parent sign a waiver and may take classes so long as they are at least 5 ft tall and 95 lbs.

Welcome! Don't be shy, we have first-timers in every class. Power Rowing is a wonderful cardio workout that will work your entire body from head to toe. Rowing is low-impact so it is safe and extremely efficient. We have a full spectrum of experience and skill levels in our classes. If you are new to Power Rowing, please make sure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your first class so we can get necessary paperwork completed and show you around. If you are new to rowing, please make sure the coach knows so that they can give you some extra help as you get more used to how we row!

We recommend clothing that is form fitting. Baggy clothes can get caught in the machine. You will also need sneakers.

It is much easier to pay with a card through our website online; however we will take cash if you are in a pinch.
At first, it may feel easy if you aren't pushing yourself. It is easy to go through the motion if you aren't familiar with the technique or how to read the screen. Grab the coach and ask for help if you need to figure out how to work harder. Rowing is one of the most intense workouts because it includes about 85% of all your muscles in each stroke if done right.

Yes! We have many classes designed to keep you in top rowing shape. Indoor rowing and crew share about 70% of the motion, plus all of our commands are crew style commands. You will fit right in.
Rowing is great for people of all ages, sizes, and levels of ability. Rowing is a sustainable, effective form of low impact exercise. With low risk of injury, some people do well into their 80s or even 90s. If you have any concerns about what is right for your body, please talk to your doctor.
