COVID-19 Policies and Procedures

Virtual Classes


  • Virtual classes will be held on Zoom.
  • Please sign up at least 35 min before class. If you sign up any later, you will not receive the login details.
  • If you sign up through our website or through MindBody, you will receive an email 30 min before class with meeting information from claire.d.looney@gmail.com. If you signed up through ClassPass, you'll receive the login details 20 min before class.
  • If you do not feel comfortable turning on your camera, you do not need to.
  • If you have any injuries or require modifications for certain movements, your instructor will be CC’d on your email from Claire. Please reach out to them in advance of class so they are aware of your particular needs.




Outdoor Classes


  • Please bring your own equipment: mat, towel, weights, full water bottle.
  • Masks must be worn while gathering, setting up your station, and any time you are outside of your designated mat space.




Indoor Classes


  • A mask must be worn upon entering the studio.
  • The Owner/Front Desk staff will take your temperature with a digital scanning reader.
    • If you have an elevated temperature, we will ask that you leave and will refund you your class credit.
  • Please keep your mask on until you are settled into your station - grab all materials you will need for class and go to your workout area.
  • Sanitize your mat, ball, weights, erg seat, screen buttons (do not touch the screen), foot straps, and handles.
  • Once the workout begins, you may remove your mask.
  • When the workout is complete, put your mask back on.
  • Sanitize everything your hands/feet/body touched during class.




Amenities


  • Please refrain from using the lockers - bring everything you need with you (water, keys, phone, wallet, purse, can be put in the back of your station).
  • Please put your mask on when using the restroom.
    • Leave the light/fan on and close the door behind you immediately after leaving the restroom.

FAQ

I'm new, what can I expect?


Welcome! Don't be shy, we have first-timers in every class. Power Rowing is a wonderful cardio workout that will work your entire body from head to toe. Rowing is low-impact so it is safe and extremely efficient. We have a full spectrum of experience and skill levels in our classes. If you are new to Power Rowing, please make sure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your first class so we can get necessary paperwork completed and show you around. If you are new to rowing, please make sure the coach knows so that they can give you some extra help as you get more used to how we row!




What should I bring?


  • Yourself

  • Appropriate attire
  • A positive attitude!




How much is a class/membership?

What is the proper attire for class?


We recommend clothing that is form fitting. Baggy clothes can get caught in the machine. You will also need sneakers.




How can I pay?


It is much easier to pay with a card, however we will take cash if you are in a pinch.




Do you offer private training?


Yes! We offer private training sessions at $100 for one hour, or $50 for half an hour. Purchase here.




Why doesn't rowing feel hard?


At first, it may feel easy if you aren't properly recruiting your muscle groups. Grab the coach and ask for help if you need to figure out how to work harder. The fittest athletes work their hardest on rowing machines!




I have on-water rowing experience, is indoor rowing for me?


Yes! We have many classes designed to keep you in top rowing shape.




Is rowing for me?


Rowing is great for people of all ages, sizes, and levels of ability. Rowing is a sustainable, effective form of low impact exercise. With low risk of injury, some people do well into their 80s or even 90s. If you have any concerns about what is right for your body, please talk to your doctor.




Help! I left one of my belongings behind, what should I do?


The next time you come in swing by our "Lost at Sea" box, and ask someone at the front desk to help you find your things.
